I am the co-creator, along with scholar and host Lynne Gerber and podcaster Ariana Nedelman, that produced the award-winning “When We All Get to Heaven” a 10 part documentary podcast distributed by Slate. It tells the story of how one of the first gay-positive churches, the Metropolitan Community Church of San Francisco, faced the personal, social, and political trials of the AIDS epidemic.

I started expanding into the world of audio documentary production through the classroom. I began by integrating documentary production as a storytelling method for an environmental sociology course a decade ago. In 2017 I trained with Transom radio. I am deeply committed to creating work for public consumption that challenges simple ideas of the world around us.
